Putting documents in there is easy and inviting and searching is quick and intuitive.
- At first, the UCM scares the hell out of most business users. Content Server security and metadata, Site Studio and Oracle Capture all seem like a tangled mess or acronyms and confusing architectures. When business users are scared and confused, its hard to let them drive an implementation - at least, the one that has to work out well... and if you're planning on training them before the project has started - think again. Its tough to make your preoccupied business folks sit through three weeks worth of classroom training.
- Many times the clients told me how one, two, even three project phases succeed one after another - and they wonder why all of a sudden such monster-sized effort is required now - just to make this eaaaaasy little change. You see, "buy now, pay later" is not just for credit card companies. A "minor" design flaw early in the project may become really expensive to fix - if not caught on time.
So how's the BOD different?
When used on a project, it virtually ensures a mega-successful UCM rollout, phase after phase... at a small fraction of the cost you'd come to expect to pay for such a project.

BOD creates a safe and productive environment where your business people can tailor Oracle UCM to their needs - without a depressingly long learning curve or any danger of future penalties.
